High school notebook: Faith 7 game set for Saturday at OBU; J.T. Realmuto called up to Marlins

Six Division I players highlight the Oklahoma roster this season, led by Oklahoman Super 5 selections Omega Harris and Mitchell Solomon.

The annual Oklahoma vs. Texas Faith 7 Basketball Bowl is set for a 7 p.m. tipoff Saturday at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.

Six Division I players highlight the Oklahoma roster this season, led by Oklahoman Super 5 selections Omega Harris and Mitchell Solomon.

Harris, a 6-foot-3 guard from Putnam City West, has signed with UTEP, while Bixby’s 6-foot-9 Solomon is headed to Oklahoma State.

The rest of the Oklahoma roster includes Brett Cannon of Del City, Stephen Edwards of Putnam City West, Jaz Gayanich of Velma-Alma, Jacob Hammond of Comanche, Harrah’s Collin Jennings, Midwest City’s Torey Noel, Keyshawn Perkins of Lawton Eisenhower and Kevin Sims from Tulsa Washington.

Yukon’s Scott Raper will serve as the team’s coach with Aaron Weast of Comanche as his assistant.

The Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association All-Star games will precede the Faith 7 games at OBU, starting with the Class A vs. Class B game at 1 p.m., followed by Class 2A vs. Class 3A at 2:15 and the Class 4A/5A/6A game at 3:30.
