Mid-Del linemen lead OCA All-State

The All-State game will be played 8 p.m. Aug. 2, 2013, at a Tulsa-area venue. The venue will be announced at a later date.

Each of the three Mid-Del high schools had an offensive lineman make the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State team, it was announced Monday.

Class 5A champions Carl Albert placed Kyler Walker on the West offensive line. He was joined by Del City's Jake Warehime and Midwest City's Carlos Freeman.

Warehime played a big part in the Eagles' resurgence this season. Del City made the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade.

Del City's Corey Lawrence also made the team as a running back.

Other notables on the rosters include Deer Creek quarterback Joel Bluementhal and OCS' Austin Brooks, McGuinness' Cody Chanceller at wide receiver and Edmond Santa Fe's Phillip Sumpter at defensive back.
