Because of the snowstorm that delayed the football season by a week, The Oklahoman has extended the deadline for high school coaches to send in player nominations for postseason awards.

Coaches can send All-State and All-City nominations by fax or email by the end of the day Wednesday. The nominations should include the player's name, grade position and any applicable stats.

Fax nominations to the sports department at (405) 475-3315, or email information to Scott Wright at

The Oklahoman's All-State, Big All-City and Little All-City teams will appear in the newspaper in early January.

Edmond Santa Fe freshman point guard Jo'Nah Johnson's offer list keeps growing, and this time with an in-state offer from Tulsa.

Johnson received an offer from Texas A&M before she had even played a varsity game.

The Wolves are currently ranked No. 1 in Class 6A and are off to a 4-0 start following a win over Class 6A defending champion Tulsa Washington Saturday in the championship game of the Edmond Open at Edmond North.

Johnson had 15 points, while University of Denver signee Tamara Lee had 21 for the Wolves.
