The threat of more winter weather in the state Monday forced the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association to shift some playoff basketball games scheduled Monday.
The Class 4A Area I boys regional final between Douglass and John Marshall that was scheduled for Tuesday night in Weatherford have been moved to 6 p.m. Monday at Heritage Hall in Oklahoma City.
The girls regional final between Weatherford and Elk City will be played at 5 p.m. Monday.
Consolation semifinals will start at 11 a.m. with Woodward girls vs. Douglass. Woodward boys will play Clinton at 12:30 p.m., Bridge Creek girls will play Clinton at 2 p.m. and Elk City boys will play Weatherford at 3:30 p.m.
The consolation finals will be played Tuesday with the girls game beginning at 6 p.m., followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m.
Also, the Class B Area II consolation finals, which were scheduled to be played Monday in Cleveland, have been moved to the Chisholm Trail Expo Center in Enid.
Burlington will play Deer Creek-Lamont in the girls consolation final at 2 p.m., followed by the boys consolation final between Burlington and Mulhall-Orlando at 3:30 p.m.
HANSEN PICKS UP OLE MISS OFFER
Edmond Santa Fe quarterback Justice Hansen picked up his fifth SEC offer late last week, adding Ole Miss to his growing list.
Hansen (6-foot-3, 200 pounds) also has offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Missouri and Texas A&M in the SEC.
He also has offers from Oklahoma and Arizona State.
Hansen, No. 3 on The Oklahoman's Super 30 list of the top 2014 recruits in the state, threw for 3,079 yards and 36 touchdowns as a junior and ran for 773 yards and 14 touchdowns.
