NORTHEAST GETS PHYSICAL
Northeast’s football team isn’t the only group of athletes at the school wearing shoulder pads and football helmets.

Northeast drops from Class 4A to 3A this season. The Vikings figure to be among the favorites in the class. Northeast returns two full-time starters and one part-time starter from last season’s 18-9 team.
PRITCHARD TOPS 5,000 YARDS
Stroud is ranked fourth in Class A at 9-0, and one of the biggest reasons is running back Cody Pritchard.
Pritchard eclipsed the 5,000-yard career rushing mark in Stroud’s win against Minco. Pritchard had four rushing touchdowns and now has 5,066 career yards.
"He’s obviously physically gifted,” Stroud coach Chris Elerick said. "He has the speed and vision like all great backs, but his competitive drive sets him a part. He is such a competitor.”
The Tigers have already clinched the District A-5 title and play at Dibble on Friday.
OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Here are some other top performers from Week 9: McLoud receiver Von Kendrick had 10 catches for 171 yards and two touchdowns. Redskins quarterback Dillon Endecott threw for 283 yards in a 21-14 victory against Cleveland. …While Matt Luetjen gets most of the praise for Hennessey, running back Dillon Morgan is also a key contributor. Morgan ran for three touchdowns as the Eagles racked up 329 rushing yards in a 38-0 blanking of Chisholm.
