Spangler up to 11 offers
Bridge Creek's Ryan Spangler isn't doing anything special to get his name out there. But just his mere presence and the way he plays the game has made him one of the top basketball recruits of 2011.

Spangler, a 6-foot-7 senior, already had several offers, but a recent camp in Dallas now gives him 11 offers.
"It's been a crazy summer," Spangler said. "It's been tough to try to find balance with football and basketball. It's something new every day."
Spangler said some of his more recent offers include Gonzaga, Texas Christian and Penn State. Each school saw him play once and gave him an offer.
Basketball is going to be put on the back burner for now as Spangler prepares for the football year. He is one of the state's best quarterbacks as well.
McGuinness' Christiansen visiting USC elite camp
Matt Christiansen, Bishop McGuinness' 6-foot-8, 215-pound junior, will spend the weekend in Los Angeles participating in Southern Cal's invitation-only elite skills basketball camp, which provides the school a closer look at potential recruits.
Christiansen is rated as the No. 15 center in the country for the recruiting class of 2012 by ESPN's men's basketball recruiting service. He averaged 11.7 points and 10.0 rebounds as a sophomore for the Irish last season.
He also was invited to Kansas' elite camp earlier this summer, along with Douglass sophomore Stephen Clark and Ardmore junior Nino Jackson, who already has a scholarship offer from the Jayhawks.
