Deer Creek heating up
Deer Creek has the look of a team to watch as the regular season nears its end.
The Antlers, in their second year under coach Jenny Miller, are 21-4 overall and ranked No. 13 in Class 5A. They've won nine straight matches, including a championship at the Noble Tournament two weeks ago.
They will close the regular season Thursday night against Carl Albert and travel to top-seeded Shawnee for regionals on Tuesday. Deer Creek lost its only meeting with Shawnee this season.
