Deer Creek volleyball has settled into the coaching of Lisa Polcovich.

The Antlers are 12-1, rising to the No. 4 ranking in Class 5A.

Deer Creek's freshman team, coached by Heather Erickson who plays for Team USA's sitting Olympic team, has also only lost one match.

Natalie Murray returned to coaching Edmond Memorial this season after taking a maternity leave.

Murray, who did coach a few games last year, had her son on Sept. 17, just a few weeks before state. She returned to school on Halloween, but by that point the Bulldogs already finished the season as state runner-up.

Murray is back coaching this season. The Bulldogs are 5-3 and ranked No. 5 in Class 6A.

“I'm excited to see what happens,” Murray said. “It's one of those years that I have no idea what will. People on our team just keep getting better.”
