Here are a few metro-area volleyball players to keep an eye on during the 2014 season:

Gabby Helton, Sr., Heritage Hall: Helton brings experience along with Rachel Moore and Paige Miles as the Chargers chase a repeat in Class 5A.

Sarah Jekel, Sr., Mount St. Mary: Jekel helped the Rockets to their first volleyball state title, and the athletic hitter is back for one last run.

Hannah Rose Frohling, Jr., Edmond North: The Huskies’ best player hopes to have them back in the title hunt once again.

Livi Schiffner, Sr., Edmond Memorial: Schiffner and fellow senior Kelsi Hughes provide guidance for a Bulldog team that is off to a strong start.

Jordan Spence, Sr., Edmond Santa Fe: Last year’s Oklahoman All-City Player of the Year, the 6-foot-1 Spence is back at the net as the Wolves pursue another Class 6A title.

Emily Watts, Sr., Christian Heritage: The Crusaders have looked impressive early this season with Watts back to cause problems for opponents.
