The approval of Jeremy Dombek as Mustang's new football coach wasn't the only athletic item on the Mustang school board agenda Monday night.

The board also approved the hire of Kevin Korstjens as girls basketball coach, and Taryn Steele to coach volleyball.

Korstjens spent the last two seasons at Bridge Creek, but might be best known for his strong run at Edmond North, finishing as a state semifinalist in 2011.

He takes over for Nikki McCann, who was promoted to the role of athletic facilitator at Mustang.

Steele, a former all-state volleyball player at Mustang, coached at Yukon in 2011 and has been active as a coach in club volleyball since her time as a player at Southern Nazarene.
