High temperatures in Oklahoma expected to be near, above 100
A summer-time ridge of high pressure will continue over the Southern Plains this week, causing hot afternoons and warm nights. High temperatures across Oklahoma during the next few days should be near or just above 100, according to the National Weather Service.

Meanwhile, Hurricane Dolly in the Gulf of Mexico should push low-level tropical moisture into the area. This is expected to cause more cloud cover, which could lower the temperatures at the end of the week.
A weak cold front could approach northern Oklahoma early next week, but rain chances remain low.
Highs today are expected from the 90s to lower 100s with a slight chance of an isolated afternoon or nighttime thunderstorm in eastern Oklahoma.
Tonight, lows should be from the upper 60 to mid-70s.
The chance of rain and thunderstorms will continue in far southeastern Oklahoma on Thursday. Highs will be in the 90s with lows in the 60s and 70s.
