High temperatures will be in the 90s Friday through Sunday in Oklahoma

Temperatures will be hot in central Oklahoma Friday. Highs will be in the mid-90s through Sunday.

Eight Oklahoma counties are under air quality alerts Friday, the National Weather Service reports.

The high temperature in Oklahoma City Friday will be near 95 and near 96 Saturday.

Counties under air quality alerts are Comanche, Canadian, McClain, Cleveland, Pottawatomie, Oklahoma, Logan and Tulsa, the weather service reports.

There are 23 counties in Oklahoma under a burn ban due to high wildfire dangers, Oklahoma Forestry Services reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Friday: Sunny with a high near 95. South wind 6 to 9 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 73. East, southeast wind 7 to 10 mph becoming south after midnight.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 96. South, southeast wind 7 to 10 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 70. South, southeast wind 9 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 92. South, southeast wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Sunday night: Mostly clear with a low around 73.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 94.

Monday night: Mostly clear with a low around 74.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 96.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 74.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 96.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 73.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 94.
