Winds could gust up to 37 mph Monday in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Warm and windy weather could elevate the fire danger, especially in western Oklahoma, the weather service reports

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

M.L. King Jr. Day: Mostly cloudy with a high near 73. Windy with a south, southwest wind between 21 and 26 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph.

Monday night: A 20 percent chance of rain before midnight. Partly cloudy with a low around 31. South wind around 18 mph becoming northwest. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 43. North, northwest wind 19 to 22 mph decreasing to between 8 and 11 mph. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Tuesday Night: Clear with a low around 21. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming south.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 48. South wind between 8 and 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 32.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 53.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 35.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 66.

Friday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 41.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 68.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 48.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 72.
