A wind advisory is in effect for central Oklahoma until 10 a.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service reports.

Parts of southwest Oklahoma are under a red flag warning for high fire danger until 7 p.m.

Winds could gust up to 50 mph in western Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Thursday: Partly sunny with a high near 78. Windy with a south wind 22 to 26 mph with gusts as high as 37 mph.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 44. Northwest wind 9 to 13 mph becoming east, northeast after midnight.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 63. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 38. North wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light north, northeast after midnight.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 69. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 47.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 77. Windy.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 54.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 74.

Monday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 42.

Tuesday: Partly sunn with a high near 69.

Tuesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 56.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 72.
