Highlights of Bob Barry Sr.'s 50-year radio career:

Sept. 30, 1961: Oklahoma at Notre Dame, Barry's first game as voice of the Sooners.

Jan. 1, 1963: Barry's first bowl game, Oklahoma-Alabama (and Joe Namath) in the Orange.

Nov. 30, 1963: Bud Wilkinson's final OU game, against OSU in Norman.

1969: Called all 10 games of Steve Owens' Heisman Trophy season.

Oct. 10, 1970: The debut of the OU wishbone, against Texas.

Nov. 25, 1971: The Game of the Century, OU-Nebraska, at Owen Field.

Oct. 23, 1976: OSU's first Bedlam victory in 10 years, which propelled the Cowboys to their only Big Eight championship.

1988: Called all 12 games of Barry Sanders' Heisman Trophy season.

March 1991: Called coach Eddie Sutton's first NCAA Tournament run with OSU.

Jan. 3, 2001: OU's Orange Bowl victory over Florida State, for the national title.

Feb. 5, 2001: Called OSU's basketball victory over Missouri, OSU's first game since a plane crash that killed 10 members of the Cowboy traveling party, including Bill Teegins, who 10 years earlier replaced Barry as Voice of the Cowboys.

April 2002: Called Kelvin Sampson's run to the Final Four.

2003: Called all 14 games of Jason White's Heisman Trophy season.

2008: Called all 14 games of Sam Bradford's Heisman Trophy season.

Jan. 1, 2010: The OU-Connecticut Fiesta Bowl, Barry's final football game.
