History Comes Alive on Oklahoma River Cruises

Character interpreters from the Oklahoma History Center will join passengers on the Oklahoma River Cruises' river boats each Saturday through Aug. 18 to tell true stories from America's past.

Character interpreters from the Oklahoma History Center will join passengers on the Oklahoma River Cruises' river boats each Saturday through Aug. 18 to tell true stories from America's past.

“History Comes Alive” cruises depart from the Regatta Park Landing at 12:30 p.m. and from the Exchange Landing at 1:15 p.m. each Saturday. Adult fare is $6 one way, seniors and children age 6 to 12 $3 one way. Children under 6 ride free.

Space is limited and reservations are encouraged. Boarding begins 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Here is the current river boat program schedule:

• Saturday: Territorial Marshal

• July 14: Rosie the Riveter

• July 21: Land Run

• July 28: Union Soldier

• Aug. 4: Territorial Marshal

• Aug. 11: 1890 Mail Order Bride

• Aug. 18: Cowboy.
