OU mismatches
The biggest mismatches in OU history, based not on final score but difference in success level of teams:

•1. Wake Forest 1974: OU won 63-0; Wake finished with one win for the second straight year and was outscored 348-74.

•2. Indiana State 1999: OU won 49-0 in Bob Stoops' debut; Sooners weren't a power yet, but Sycamores finished 3-8 and remain the only I-AA foe OU has ever played.

•3. Kansas State 1987: OU won 59-10; Several KSU teams could have made this list, but go with '87, when OU played for a national title and the 'Cats were 0-10-1, getting outscored 421-135.

•4. New Mexico State 1989: OU won 73-3; Gary Gibbs' first OU team wasn't great, but Aggies were in the midst of an eight-year stretch (1984-91) in which they won eight games.

•5. Arkansas State 2000: OU won 45-7; Indians went 1-10, Sooners won the national championship.

Hey Steve and Larry, I got a couple good ones, how bout OU/Bosie state? Or OU/Iowa State in 1990 when the sooners were favored by 40 odd points. Anyone remember TCU in Norman a couple years ago, and what happened in Boulder last year?

I must agree those lop sided scores were not only against smaller schools. There has been some big boys on the list also.

How about 77 points against Texas A&M and 63 against the shorthorns? Those sure looked like mismatches to me.
