FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Hoffenheim has signed Bosnia-Herzegovina defender Ermin Bicakcic from demoted Bundesliga rival Eintracht Braunschweig.

Hoffenheim says Bicakcic signed a three-year contract.

The 24-year-old player is on the preliminary World Cup squad of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Hoffenheim sporting director Alexander Rosen says Bicakcic will "add stability" to the team's defense. Hoffenheim conceded 70 goals this season, the second worst in the Bundesliga.
