Holdenville man arrested in homicide

Gayland Moore, 38, was found dead at a Holdenville home Monday morning, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reports. Franklin Combs, 53, was booked in the Hughes County jail on a murder complaint.

— A Holdenville man has been arrested on a homicide complaint after police found a dead man at his house, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reports.

Gayland Moore, 38, was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound about 5:55 a.m. Monday at 218 S Walnut, according to the OSBI.

The homeowner, Franklin Combs, 53, was questioned and then booked into the Hughes County jail.

A 911 call was made from the residence and police found Moore dead, the OSBI reports.

An autopsy will determine cause and manner of death, authorities said.

Holdenville police requested OSBI assistance in the case.
