•Ada, fireworks show sponsored by Ada Kiwanis Club, Wintersmith Park.
•Altus, city-sponsored fireworks display begins at dark at Altus City Reservoir. Fireworks to be set off on north side of reservoir. Police will block off reservoir road about 7:30 p.m.
•Anadarko, Honor America Day, begins at 9 a.m. in Randlett Park and ends with a fireworks show at dark.
•Bethany, 50th annual Freedom Festival. Parade at 10 a.m. from Southern Nazarene University, 6729 NW 39 Expressway, to Eldon Lyon Park, 7200 NW 36. Carnival, car show and live music. Fireworks show starts at 9:55 p.m.
•Claremore, July 4 celebration begins at 5 p.m. at Claremore Lake Park, 419 W Will Rogers Blvd. Entertainment, family activities and fireworks.
•Crescent, Fourth of July celebration. Parade at 11 a.m., downtown. Crescent City Park activities include bingo, puppet show, food booths, talent show, water balloon toss, pie-eating and taco-eating contests, cake walk and dunk tank. Fireworks begin at dusk. The park is on W Monroe Street between S Spruce and S Cimarron streets.
•Coalgate, Independence Day celebration continues with a downtown parade at 11 a.m., political speaking at 4:30 p.m., live music at 5 p.m. and fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
•Edmond, LibertyFest. Parade at 9 a.m. downtown. Activities for children, free watermelon and food vendors beginning at 5 p.m. at the University of Central Oklahoma, 100 N University Drive. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. Seating is available across the campus except at portions of Wantland Stadium and staging areas.
•Elk City, July 4 celebration at Ackley Park, State Highway 66 and Pioneer Road. Rides and a fireworks show.
•Enid, Enid Symphony Orchestra, 15th annual Fourth of July "Let the Sunshine in” show at 8:30 p.m., Meadowlake Park, 1200 block of W Rupe Street. Patriotic music choreographed with fireworks show.
•Eufaula, 40th annual celebration and fireworks spectacular, downtown. Fireworks can be viewed at Eufaula Cove, 400 Lake Shore Road on Lake Eufaula, from shore or by boat.
•Fort Sill (Lawton), 2008 Army Concert Tour, featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd, Randy Rogers Band, Bobby Dale Band. Shuttle buses to take guests to the Polo Field. Concert begins at 7 p.m. Enter post through Sheridan Road, Fort Sill Boulevard or Apache Gate Road. Tickets are $33 at the gate. All concert goers must present a state or federal photo ID or passport. Fireworks show to follow concert.
•Gage, celebration sponsored by the Gage Parent Outreach and the Gage Rural Fire Department. A fishing derby begins at 8 a.m.; hamburger and hot dog lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. Activities include children's games, 3-on-3 basketball tournament and horseshoes tournament. A barbecue dinner begins at 6 p.m., followed by a fireworks show at 10 p.m.
•Gore, Lake Tenkiller celebration and fireworks extravaganza begins at 9 p.m. over Lake Tenkiller dam.
•Hochatown, celebration at Frontier General Store, with live music and food. Sponsored by Hochatown Volunteer Fire Department. Fireworks show begins at dark.
•Hulbert, Western Hills Guest Ranch and Sequoyah State Park, fireworks show at dark over Lake Fort Gibson.
•Ketchum, Duck Creek on Grand Lake. Boats parading on the lake, with fireworks show beginning at dusk.
•Kingfisher, Let Freedom Ring event, 10 a.m. downtown. Attractions include train rides from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., turtle races at 3:30 p.m., duck races at 6 p.m., concert in Kingfisher Park at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.
•Lake Murray State Park, annual fireworks show beginning at dusk.
•Lawton, I Love America Celebration, beginning at 2 p.m. at Elmer Thomas Park, NW 2 and Ferris Avenue. Games, entertainment, skydiving demonstrations, military displays, and 100-member choir and full orchestra performing patriotic songs. Fireworks show begins at 10 p.m.
•Medicine Park, birthday celebration begins with a picnic at noon; blues rock band Park Tavern, 7 p.m.; personal fireworks, 7 to 9 p.m. at ball field; professional fireworks display, Granite Ridge, northwest end of town, 10 p.m.
•Moore, Art in the Park festival, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Buck Thomas Park, 1903 NE 12. The festival will have arts and crafts, live music, carnival rides and fireworks. Admission is free.
•Muskogee, celebration at River Country Family Water Park, 3600 Arline St. Music and family activities throughout the day. Fireworks show begins at dark.
•Nichols Hills, Fourth of July Parade, 9 a.m. at Kite Park, Bedford Drive and Huntington Way. Games and activities for children. Antique and classic cars at 8:30 a.m. For more information: 755-6565.
•Norman, 33rd annual Norman Day Celebration. Activities begin at noon and feature an ugliest dog contest, hot dog eating contest, sand volleyball, pony rides, free watermelon and fireworks. •Carmen, Zucchini Festival in City Park. Activities include a barbecue dinner, musical entertainment, zucchini throw, zucchini carving and judging from 5 to 9 p.m. The fireworks display begins at dusk.
•El Reno, city fireworks display at dusk at Lake El Reno near Country Club Road and State Highway 66. Fireworks can be viewed from Babcock Drive, which circles the lake.
•Kingston, fireworks show sponsored by the Chickasaw Nation begins at dark at Kingston Gaming Center. Viewers can park at the former Lake Texoma State Lodge.
•Lake Texoma, fireworks show begins at dark at Soldier Creek Resort and Marina. Viewers can park at the former Lake Texoma State Lodge.
•Medicine Park, birthday celebration continues with a wagon camp, treasure hunt in town shops, medicine show at Hitching Post Park; rubber ducky race at 5 p.m. at Bath Lake; Marauders Shoot-out at 6 and music at 7 across from Park Tavern. Activities continue Sunday.
•Piedmont,
fireworks show at dusk on NW 168 and Piedmont Road. Other activities include a downtown street dance and family attractions.

Don't get ripped off at the Downtown Airpark like with last year's Kirk Humphries-sponsored money grab. There is nothing free there. Parking lot attendants have their hands out as soon as you turn off Western, and admission may be free, though you can't even bring in your own food or water, though they will gladly sell you overpriced food and drink just inside the gate. Despite last year's advertisement of "free fun for the whole family,' it cost $10 for each kid to have access to the inflatible bouncy things, and the lines were horrendous! It was like being held hostage once inside the gate...
