Candy cane reindeer
The kids are clamoring for something to do during the holidays. Here’s a Christmas craft that combines all the things the kids like about a project such as this: candy, plenty of glue and googly eyes.

Making a candy cane reindeer is quick and easy. And when you’re done, you can pack it away with the rest of the ornaments and hang it from Old Tannenbaum every season.
What you’ll need:
A 6-inch wrapped candy cane — the bigger the better.
Ribbon.
Two pipe cleaners (brown if you can get them).
Red or brown pompom.
A pair of googly eyes.
Glue (hot or white, either will work).
→First, glue the eyes on both sides of the curve of the candy cane. Then glue a pompom to the very end for a nose. If you like Rudolph, go with the red pompom; otherwise, use brown.
→Tie the ribbon into a bow around the body of the candy cane.
→You can get creative with the antlers: First, cut one of the pipe cleaners in half and wrap it around the crook of the cane. Cut the remaining pieces to add more branches to your antlers.
→Once the glue is dry, the project is done.
If the kids want to, they decorate the reindeer with construction paper, adding a shirt, some legs or even a label with their name.
Be sure to mark somewhere on the reindeer who made it and what year it was made.
That way, it can be a Christmas piece you’ll keep for years and years.
