NORMAN — Gardening is therapeutic and should be enjoyed by everyone. But many public gardens are difficult for handicapped people to navigate, and home gardening may seem out of reach. The Cleveland County Master Gardener Association Demonstration and Teaching Garden area is an example of how anyone can garden at home in limited space or under different circumstances.
The association has added four elevated, planted boxes in the demonstration and teaching garden for the use and enjoyment of visitors in wheelchairs.
The garden's new section is accessible from the garden entrance.
Free tours are offered from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays and Saturdays. For more information, call 321-4774.
