I know I’m not the only one who’s excited. I’ve been shopping at HomeGoods in the Dallas area for years. It’s like a TJ Maxx store on steriods — minus the clothes and accessories. Focus is on the home – kitchen, garden, furniture, lamps, mirors, gifts, seasonal decor, bath, pictures.
On Sunday, be one of the first 1,000 shoppers and you’ll receive a reusable HomeGoods shopping bag. Special grand opening day shopping hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. And thanks to HomeGoods for donating $5,000 to Infant Crisis Services Inc., an organization that provides food, diapers and formulas to toddlers and babies in need.
HomeGood is a furniture and home decor retailer owned by The TJX Companies, which also operates T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s. Here’s hoping the Norman store is as good as the one in Irving, Texas, and the two I visited earlier this year in Kansas City, Mo.
The Norman store is at 2030 24th Ave. NW in the University Town Center. For information, call 321-2073.
