Oklahoma City police have arrested a homeless man in the beating and stabbing of a man Monday.

Police arrived about 11:15 p.m. an apartment complex at 8100 W Britton Road and found the victim severely beaten and covered with blood, according to an incident report released Wednesday.

After interviewing the victim, they arrested Robert Timothy Dyer, 24, on complaints of assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault and battery, according to the report.

The victim had a deep gash in his right arm and a cut at the base of his left thumb; his eyes were swollen shut and his head was covered in blood, police reported.

He told police Dyer accused him of stealing $120 and followed him with two other men as the victim left an apartment. Dyer held the victim in a choke hold from behind as the two other men hit the victim repeatedly, the report states.

Officers found Dyer sitting outside the apartment and found a bloody brown button-down shirt like the one the victim said Dyer was wearing during the attack, police reported.
