President Porfirio Lobo said early Thursday that he would be asking the president of congress, the Supreme Court and other parts of government to meet in coming hours to find a way out.

Legal officials have been debating the constitutionality of a congressional vote replacing four of the five justices on the constitutional chamber, a committee of the Supreme Court, whose justices have been have been overruling Lobo's plans including the creation of private cities and to weed out corrupt and criminal police officers.

Lobo said on national television that: "The independence and complementary nature of the different branches of government are essential."
