Oklahoma Christian University hosted an Honors Summer Academy for high school students, attracting 71 students — 29 from the Oklahoma City metro area, 44 from across Oklahoma and 27 from out of state.

Friday, in the Introduction to Engineering class taught by engineering faculty, students launched small rockets they designed and built, according to a news release from the university. The students competed to see who could send their rockets the highest. The soccer field on campus served as the launching pad.
