Paul, the New Orleans Hornets point guard who finished second behind Kobe Bryant in MVP voting this year, will be at both camp sites throughout the day, providing hands-on instructions to campers and participating in drills, games and other activities.
At each of the first two camps, Paul stated his desire to keep the Oklahoma City camp going as long as possible.
After playing the majority of his first two NBA seasons in Oklahoma City, this year will be the first year Paul has hosted the summer camp in Oklahoma despite playing the entire NBA season in New Orleans.
"I think it shows his interest in giving back to communities that he feels have been a part of his growth and development,” said Hornets General Manager Jeff Bower. "It just reinforces all of the things that everybody thought about him while the team played in Oklahoma City. He continues to go back there and reach out to the youths of the area. It just makes you feel good to see somebody continue something they started.”
This week's camp cost $199 and is open to kids ages 7-18.
The camp will include four 3½ hour sessions, two morning and two afternoon sessions at each site all three days.
Campers will receive T-shirts, an autographed Chris Paul photo, a camp basketball and other giveaways.
