DUISBURG, Germany (AP) — Tim Hornsby of Atlanta will represent the United States in the sprint kayak at the London Olympics after beating teammate Ryan Dolan on Sunday at a World Cup event.

Hornsby finished fifth in the "B'' final of the 200 meters in Duisburg. He was 0.248 seconds ahead of Dolan, who was eighth.

Hornsby will be competing at his first Olympics. He says going to the Olympics "has been a dream forever. It's amazing that it's actually happening. I'm tripping out."

The 200 is making its debut at a Summer Games this year.
