Regarding “Senate passes horse slaughter bill” (News, March 19): A simple question that continues to be ignored is why are these horse slaughter bills flying through so quickly? Horse slaughter won't save human lives, so why is it being fast-tracked? Why is it still legal to text and drive? Why don't they fast track something that will save lives? It's been discussed for years and nothing is done to protect the citizens, just taking care of the special-interest groups — again. Oklahoma will be at the top of another, undesirable ranking.
