Temperatures in central Oklahoma will be hot Wednesday, in the 90s, but cooler days are ahead.

There is a chance for rain Thursday night with cooler temperatures through the weekend. The high temperature Friday will be near 86 degrees.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 94. Light south wind becoming south, southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 72. Southeast wind 6 to 8 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Thursday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 70. East northeast wind 6 to 8 mph.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. East northeast wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Saturday: Partly sunny with a high near 87.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 68.
