Hot, dry weather forecast for Oklahoma

Sunday will be hot and dry across Oklahoma with triple-digit temperatures forecast in parts of the state.

The National Weather Service said high pressure will keep the state in a hot and mostly dry weather pattern through the upcoming work week.

Showers and thunderstorms will be more numerous late in the week as a frontal system approaches from the north.

Sunday will be sunny with highs ranging from 87 to 101.

Skies will be clear on Sunday night with lows in the 60s and 70s.

Monday and Tuesday will be mostly clear with highs in the 90s and low 100s and lows in the 60s and 70s.

Skies will turn partly cloudy on Wednesday and Thursday with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday. Highs will be mostly in the 90s with lows in the 60s and 70s.
