REAL ROLE: Along with the duties that come with starting a new company Greene spends his days on marketing and running the company.

WHAT THAT MEANS:
“We develop training for environmental compliance and occupational safety training, like how to use a ladder or power tool safely,” Greene said.

The NoodleStream training process is an online system allowing for use at a working or home environment, Greene said. Since the program is a personalized online system, it allows for the training to be self-paced.

NoodleStream’s key service is to design, develop and deploy highly-targeted, need-specific environmental, occupational health and safety, emergency response, and regulatory compliance training services.

NoodleStream has its roots in a consulting company called GBK formed in 1993 by three former faculty members from the University of Oklahoma.

GBK was created to provide environmental, health and safety training to both the public and private-sector, said Greene.

HOW HE GOT THAT JOB:
After co-founding GBK, an engineering company, Greene found that the company was spending a lot of time working on training programs.

“We developed training for mainly government agencies, which like the online training for the convenience,” Greene said. “With large personnel numbers and employees spread all across the world it was how the training had to be.”

The concept for NoodleStream began with a project to develop an occupational training program for a Kansas-based insurance company, which provided worker’s compensation insurance for grocery stores.

“We approached the project exactly as we had our others, following the methodologies we had developed over the last 13 years of identifying and inventorying risk and aligning personnel competencies,” Greene said. “The training was deployed to over 9,000 grocery employees.”

After a high success rate was achieved Greene decided to take the training programs into the private sector.

WHY OKLAHOMA:
Greene moved to Oklahoman from Chicago immediately following high school graduation when his stepfather took a job in the oil industry.

“I may not be an original Okie, but I got here as fast as I could,” Greene said. Greene plans on staying an Oklahoman and is raising his kids to be original Okies.

EXTRA-CURRICULARS:
Greene and NoodleStream largely endorse the 83 Foundation created by Heritage Hall graduate Wes Welker.

The 83 Foundation donates money to schools that are under supported in sports funding.

“They go in and fix up old gyms and improve playing fields and practice areas,” Greene said. “It’s a really great organization.”

RANDOM TIDBIT:
Greene is a sail boat enthusiast. When he is not hard at work Greene spends his time racing sail boats, but he is not alone.

Greene and his wife Jill can be found with their 9-year-old son Cully and 8-year-old daughter Lucy sailing in their spare time.

“We are a boat family,” Greene said.

During the winter months the family travels to the Caribbean to sail and spend time on the water together.
