Temperatures will be in the 90s with sunshine and wind Tuesday in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 92. South wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 74. South wind 18 to 24 mph with gusts as high as 33 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 95. Heat index values as high as 99. Windy with a south, southwest wind 16 to 26 mph with gusts as high as 37 mph.

Wednesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy with a low around 74. South wind around 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. Mostly sunny with a high near 94. East, southeast wind 13 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.
