A hot and windy day is ahead in central Oklahoma Tuesday.

The Oklahoma City forecast from the National Weather Service is as follows:

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 93. South wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 19 to 24 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 75. South wind 17 to 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly sunny with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 102. South wind 18 to 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 75. South, southeast wind 9 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Thursday: Sunny and hot with a high near 98. South wind 9 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 74.

Friday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 97.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 72.

Saturday: Isolated thunderstorms. Mostly sunny with a high near 95. Chance of precipitation is 10 percent.

Saturday night: Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy with a low around 70. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 89.

Sunday night: Mostly clear with a low around 67.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 88.
