Oklahoma House leery of U.N. children’s treaty

The Oklahoma House passed a resolution Monday opposing a United Nations -backed global children’s rights treaty.

Rep. Sally Kern , author of House Concurrent Resolution 1033, said if the U.S. Senate signs the treaty, Congress would have to abide by its terms, and all Oklahoma laws and laws in other states on children would be overridden.
