House under construction hit by lightning in northwest Oklahoma City

A lightning strike heavily damaged a house under construction late Monday at 1612 NW 126. No injuries were reported.

Lightning is to blame for a house fire late Monday in northwest Oklahoma City, firefighters said.

A house under construction at 1612 NW 126 was struck by lightning about 11:10 p.m. Monday, fire Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland said.

No one was at the house at the time it was struck and no injuries were reported, Stanaland said.

A damage estimate was not available.
