Rory McIlroy stands alone as the leader after the first round after shooting a 6-under 66. Matteo Manassero is a shot back at 5-under (67) and a five-man logjam of Brooks Koepka, Edoardo Molinari, Francesco Molinari, Jim Furyk and Sergio Garcia are tied for third (-4).

Tiger Woods, playing in his first major since back surgery earlier this year, is right there with Fowler at 3-under (69).
