Marc,To find inmate or ex-inmate just type in State of Okla. Dept of Corrections. Other search sites may require a fee or for out of state records also cost. No need to pay for them if you get to the correct site. I haven't gone to the site for quite a while but if I remember correctly, the site is closed from 3-3:30 A.M. for updates.
Used it to find out that an in-law's new spouse was convicted of child abuse and she was still on probation for it. And the in-law didn't know it. Also that she had a history of being evicted. "Danger, Will Robinson."
I look at them every now and then mainly to see what is going on and to see if I can find friends from the past getting married and divorced. There is some information that does not need to be shared with the world, but I don't see the problem with the generic non private information being available.
I read the criminal filings just to find out what is going on in our city. I think that is my right to do that, I do believe however that personal information such as S.S.# should be kept private.
Oh do I ever. Almost daily to keep up with my kids/step kids, nephews/nieces and old stalkers. I hope they don't limit it too much. I do agree with keeping the addresses and birthdates private.
