Your thoughts!
All a cell phone needs to do is call someone for help in an emergency. They have become high-priced toys.

About as long as it took you to type the question...

I personally didn't and wouldn't wait for an iPhone, but I don't think it's a bad thing to do. It has plenty of good uses, especially for the business person. Push e-mail syncs your work contacts and e-mail right on your phone. 3g service makes the internet accessible in speeds similar to a DSL connection that many people have at home. Many people who have iPods now don't need two devices for music and telephone. The device is extremely efficient, and does something no other device does.. Merge a great music player, telephone, and the internet into a person's palm. Sure, many people don't want all that availability, but it definitely appeals to a mass audience of the last 2 generations who grew up in the age of those 3 things. By the way, I'm sticking with my first gen iPhone. I unlocked it to be used with T-mobile and it works just great!

I would NEVER stand in line for ANY phone, EVER. I have a BlackBerry Curve and it's the BEST phone. And it required no waiting in any line.

I', with Suzan.... nadda second........I've got 1,000 any time minutes that are good in all of Oklahoma and most of 26 other states for only $39 a month, free incoming calls, and for $5 more I get free nights after 7pm and weekends .... I don't want to text or send pics to anyone using my phone... If I ever want or need too, I can snap a photo with my phone then download the photos to my computer via the micro SD and send it over the web.... so an I-Phone would be a huge waste of money for me.

well if you stand in line your wasting your time apple shipped enough phones to their stores so to not run out.

The time I will allow is none. I will not purchase one now or later. The one that I have now still sends and receive calls.

IPhone is a ripoff, the same plan I have now with my Tilt would cost $20 more a month if I had the IPhone...so $240 extra a year just to brag on an IPhone? Sorry, I can use that money for gas.

I think I will wait about another year, find a cheap first gen iPhone, and throw my current AT&T sim card into it.

The question should be: "How long will an Apple representative be willing to stand in line to GIVE ME an iPhone?" Only if they provided lifetime FREE service would I have an AT&T phone of any type.
