How the Hornets handled tickets

With an announcement on tickets for Oklahoma City's new NBA team expected in the coming weeks, here's a look at what the Hornets did in their two years here:

Hornets season tickets
Season ticket packages: Began at $379

Lower level season ticket packages: Began at $999

Sold half-season (17 games) and 12-game packages (can't choose games)

$200 deposit to reserve season ticket, first-come, first-serve

Ford Center open house — buyers will come in order they called/money spent to pick out their seat

Capacity of Ford Center — 19,675 for first season of Hornets basketball

7500 tickets for $20 or less was most in NBA

Most expensive were "Hollywood” seats behind the bench, going for as much as $35,000 for the season

Hornets single-game tickets availability
4,000 single-game tickets for $10

3,500 single-game tickets for $20

Single-game tickets not for sale until mid-October

NBA mandate
NBA mandates that 500 tickets be sold for $10 or cheaper; the new team says there will be more than 500 available each home game.
