How the Thunder acquired its additional draft picks
One of the first major deals Thunder general manager Sam Presti orchestrated is still paying dividends today.

The Rashard Lewis sign-and-trade with Orlando in 2007 afforded the Oklahoma City Thunder the right to have three first-round selections in tonight's NBA Draft.

The Thunder currently holds the 26th overall selection thanks to a $9 million trade exception Presti used to acquire veteran forward Kurt Thomas and two unconditional first-round picks in 2008 and 2010 from Phoenix while the franchise was located in Seattle.

Oklahoma City also has its own selection, the 21st overall pick, and the 18th pick, which it acquired from Miami on Wednesday night.
