The best thing about having an open date is your team can't lose, and your enemies can.
The Oklahoma and Oklahoma State football teams are idle today, but their fans can still keep busy, still whoop it up, still support their team by properly pulling against their enemies.
Please allow the following suggestions on how to spend your day:
7 a.m. –
Ryder Cup (NBC): Tune in early to see OU's Anthony Kim and OSU's Hunter Mahan, and cheer for both. How often does this opportunity happen with Bedlam?
ESPN College GameDay (ESPN): The GameDay gang will be in Alabama for the LSU at Auburn contest. At the end of the show, Lee Corso will put on a tiger head, but he'll forget if he's picking LSU or Auburn.
– Ryder Cup (NBC): Get an update on your American underdogs.
East Carolina at North Carolina State (ESPN): You're pulling for East Carolina. It's always intriguing to have a non-cartel conference team doing well.
Iowa at Pittsburgh (ESPN2): You're pulling for Pitt and former OSU assistant Dave Wannstedt. When in doubt, cheer against the Big Ten.
Alabama at Arkansas (CBS): You're pulling for ArKansas, because we want no unbeaten SEC teams. The Razorbacks will lose plenty of times down the road.
Akron at Army (ESPN Classic): God Bless America. Always cheer for the armed forces. (When they're your opponent, a simple salute will do.)
Central Florida at Boston College (ESPNU): Turn the channel.
