Human trafficking a growing problem in Oklahoma

Human trafficking has developed into a booming enterprise in Oklahoma, the lead investigator with the Tulsa Police Department's seven-person Vice Unit said.

Human trafficking has developed into a booming enterprise in Oklahoma, the lead investigator with the Tulsa Police Department's seven-person Vice Unit said. 

"It has become pretty expansive," Sgt. Todd Evans said. 

On a given night, the Vice Unit may deploy undercover police officers to respond to as many as 40 online advertisements posted by "escorts" in preparation for prostitution stings that sometimes uncover cases of human trafficking.
