Hurricane season is almost here, and once again, I’m kind of offended there isn’t a Hurricane Carrie. The National Weather Service just recycles names on a six-year schedule. Lazy? Probably.
The lists that really apply to the United States are the Atlantic and Eastern North Pacific. In the Atlantic list, they don’t even bother with names starting with letters Q, U, X, Y or Z. In the Eastern North Pacific list, they skip Q and U. Lame? Indeed. It’s only a six-year cycle. Can we not come up with a total of 12 U names and 12 Q names? And we only need six more for X, Y and Z! Let’s get it together, people.
