Husband of slain Blanchard woman in court

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A Blanchard man arrested in the death of his wife has made his first court appearance.

Defense attorney Irven Box said 25-year-old Justin Adams appeared by video Monday and that Judge Russell Hall entered a not guilty plea on Adams' behalf. He remains jailed without bond.

Adams — who has not been formally charged — was arrested on murder complaints for the death of Jaymie Adams and her fetus. Box says Adams denies any involvement in the crime.

Adams had reported his wife missing Dec. 10 — first telling police that she had gone to meet a friend and later saying she was a prostitute who was to meet a client.

Jaymie Adams' body was found Jan. 7 along a motorcycle trail in southeast Oklahoma City. has disabled the comments for this article.
