I-44 reopened at Lake Hefner Parkway

Interstate 44 westbound at Lake Hefner Parkway has reopened.

A stretch of the interstate closed this morning after a cattle truck tipped over about 9:30 a.m., according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. It reopened just after 3 p.m.

OHP trooper Erik Terrell says the driver suffered only minor injuries and that none of the cattle were thrown from the trailer. The more than 100 head of cattle inside the truck were moved to another truck, troopers said.
