A man peddling ice cream was badly beaten Sunday in Oklahoma City's Woodson Park.

Police received reports about 6:50 p.m. that three people were kicking and punching a man on the ground at the park at 3401 S May Ave.

The man had been selling ice cream from a push cart, according to a police incident report. His attackers were going through his pockets, witnesses told police.

A witness who tried to help the victim also was assaulted. The attack broke the vendor's nose and his jaw in two places, the report states.

Police recovered $84 from two teenagers arrested after the beating.

Zquareus Thomas, 16, and Alfred Christopher Proctor Jr., 16, were arrested at the park on complaints of robbery by force or fear, robbery by two or more persons and aggravated assault and battery. Thomas was arrested on additional complaints of assault and battery and possession of controlled drugs without a prescription.

Police are seeking a third attacker described only as a tall black male.
