Icy treats help critters at Oklahoma City Zoo keep their cool

To help animals beat the heat, keepers at the Oklahoma City Zoo are passing out frozen treats this week as part of a special event called "Chillin' at the Zoo.”

The animals have enjoyed the frozen treats featuring ingredients ranging from blood to sports drinks to fruit.

Special feedings are at 8:45 and 11 a.m. daily through Sunday for chimpanzees, hippos, birds, some carnivores and other animals.
