The National Geographic Sea Bird and the National Geographic Sea Lions are smaller cruise ships operated by Lindblad Expeditions, which is collaborating with National Geographic to offer travelers additional educational experiences on their vacations. These ships travel to various locations in the world, including in Alaska, Costa Rica, Panama and along the Columbia and Snake Rivers in the Pacific Northwest. The Sea Lion accommodates 62 guests in 31 cabins.

For the “Exploring Alaska's Coastal Wilderness” tour in 2013, prices start at nearly $6,000 and certain May/early June dates include free roundtrip air between Seattle and Alaska.
