If you're a hunter of treasure, look into eBay's offers If you're a hunter of treasure, look into eBay's offers

I've bought and sold items on eBay since the mid-1990s. During that period of time I've learned the online auction house can be a very odd place, given that you can sell almost anything you want. Here's a list of some of eBay's strangest auctions.

Girlfriends: Some girls auctioned their services as "imaginary girlfriends” who would send the winning bidder pictures of themselves along with love letters, which they could use to prove to others they had a girlfriend.
Wedding dress: Nothing strange about selling a wedding dress, but the seller was auctioning his ex-wife's wedding dress. On top of that he modeled the dress for all to see.
Kidney: One man tried to sell his kidney on eBay. Little did he know it's illegal to buy or sell human organs online.
Toenail clippings: A girl once sold her toenail clippings on eBay, one clipping from each toe. She got $1 for the set. That's a bargain at only 10 cents a nail.
Britney's gum: Someone picked up the gum Britney Spears spit out at a London hotel and decided there must be a market for it. They were right. The gum fetched $263.
Fighter jet: A state brokerage in Virginia sold a U.S. Navy F/A-18A Hornet jet fighter on eBay for just over a million dollars. It came disassembled, but the seller offered to put it back together and make it ready to fly for another $9 million.
I've never bought anything that outrageous, but I did buy one-inch squares of the bed sheets each Beatle slept on while staying at a Detroit hotel in 1964. But hey, that's an investment.
Tera Rogers who works in Edmond said she found something on eBay she just had to have. "I spent $80 on a Coach Q-Tips holder,” she said.
One man's trash is truly another man's treasure and as long as someone is willing to pay, everything has a price.
